### 🐾 PUPPY DEPOSIT & PICKING PROCESS
We want to make our puppy process as clear and straightforward as possible, so everyone knows exactly what to expect from the time they place a deposit until they bring their puppy home.
### 🐶 OUR RETAINED FEMALE
• We will be **keeping Female #1** from this breeding for ourselves.
• Because we are retaining her, she is **not available as a deposit/pick position**.
• The first family selecting a female will therefore have the **next available female after our retained puppy**.
### 📋 PICKING ORDER
• Puppy picks will be made in **deposit order**.
• Male and female picks are separate.
• Your position on the list is determined by when your deposit is received.
• For example, if you are #2 on the male list, you will have second choice of the available males at picking time.
• The same process applies to the female list, beginning after our retained female.
• We will contact families in order when it is time to make their selection.
### 🔎 HOW DO WE MATCH/PICK PUPPIES?
We want each puppy to go to the home that is the best fit for them.
As puppies grow, we will evaluate them for:
• Structure and conformation
• Temperament
• Energy level
• Drive and work ethic
• Retrieving desire
• Confidence
• Overall development
Families are welcome to tell us what they are looking for in a puppy, whether that is a serious hunting partner, competition prospect, active family companion, or a combination of those things.
We will provide our honest observations and help you make an informed choice based on the puppies' development.
### ⏰ WHEN WILL WE PICK?
We do **not** have families choose their puppy immediately after birth.
Puppies change considerably as they grow, so we prefer to watch their development before final selections are made. Families will receive updates, pictures, and information throughout the process.
Final picking will take place when the puppies are old enough for us to have a better understanding of their individual personalities, structure, and development.
### 📸 PUPPY UPDATES
Families who have placed a deposit can expect to receive updates throughout the litter.
We will share:
• Individual puppy pictures
• Litter pictures
• Growth and development updates
• Temperament observations
• Important veterinary updates
• Information about the puppy's progress as we get closer to picking
### 🏡 CHOOSING THE RIGHT PUPPY
We understand that everyone has different goals for their Labrador.
If you are looking for a hunting dog, family companion, competition dog, or an all-around Labrador, please tell us what you are looking for. We will use that information when helping you decide which puppy may be the best fit.
While families have their assigned picking order, **we reserve the right to make recommendations based on the individual puppies and the homes they are going to.**
### ❓ WHAT IF I CHANGE MY MIND?
A deposit is a commitment to purchase a puppy from this litter. If you change your mind or decide you no longer want a puppy, the deposit is **non-refundable**, unless otherwise agreed upon by us.
If circumstances arise that affect the litter or your ability to receive the sex of puppy you placed a deposit for, we will communicate with you directly and discuss the available options.
### 🩺 VETERINARY CARE
All puppies will receive appropriate veterinary care before leaving our home, including:
• Veterinary examination
• Age-appropriate vaccinations
• Appropriate deworming
• Health records provided to the new owner
• Microchip, if included in our puppy program
• Any additional testing or care outlined in our puppy contract
### 📄 PUPPY CONTRACT
All puppy families will be required to complete our puppy contract before taking their puppy home.
The contract will outline the responsibilities of both the breeder and the puppy owner, including our health guarantee, care expectations, and other terms of the sale.
### 🚗 GOING HOME
Puppies will go home at an age that we determine is appropriate based on their development and veterinary care.
Families will receive information ahead of time about:
• Pick-up day
• What to bring
• Feeding
• Transitioning to the new home
• Current food
• Vaccination/deworming records
• Training and crate recommendations
• Any other information needed to give your puppy the best start possible
### ❤️ OUR GOAL
Our goal isn't simply to place puppies — it is to make the **right match** between each puppy and their future family.
We put a great deal of thought into this breeding and into raising each puppy. We want our puppy families to feel informed, supported, and confident throughout the entire process.
**If you are interested in this litter, please reach out early. Once our 4 male and 4 female deposit spots are filled, the list will be closed.**
Puppy
💰 DEPOSITS
• We will begin accepting deposits **before ultrasound**.
• We will accept deposits for up to **4 males and 4 females**.
• We will keep a separate picking list for males and females.
• A deposit secures your **spot on the picking list**, not a specific puppy.
• Deposits are applied toward the total purchase price of your puppy.
• Once all available deposit spots are filled, the list will be closed.
• We will not overbook the litter beyond the number of puppies we are comfortable placing deposits on.
• If the ultrasound or birth results in fewer puppies of your requested sex than the number of deposits taken, we will communicate with those families individually and work out the available options.
